It’s been so many years that the earth is sustaining lives of trillions of humans and other living things on it. We owe our lives to the environment of the earth. We grow crops to obtain food for us and dig deep down to find useful minerals for the betterment of humankind. United Nations, in the year 2009, designated April 22nd as the Earth Day. The sole purpose of celebrating this day is to spread awareness among the people of the preservation of the natural environment of earth. This day sends a message across the globe to take care of the natural ambience and to protect it from harmful things. Who was the big name behind this resplendent concept? 9. April 22nd is not the only date when people celebrate the Earth Day. Some people celebrate it in the month of March around March Equinox. It is actually a time when the sun shines directly on the equator and the time span of day and night is almost equal.

 

 

8. How to celebrate Earth Day? Do we cut a cake labeled “Earth Day”? Not exactly guys. Some of the ways to celebrate the Earth Day are planting trees, picking up trash from the roads and disposing it properly and using recyclable containers for lunches and snacks.
